Beanos Cabin, A Unique Dining Experience
Beaver Creek has an array of dinning options ranging from 5 stars to more casual family -friendly options. Beanos Cabin is one restaurant that provides a unique dining experience that is enjoyed by all ages. The dining experience commences with a modern-day, open air sleigh ride. The sleigh, pulled by a snow cat makes for a fun ride up for the kids. Since you are out in the open be sure to dress warm, hats and gloves are recommended. They do provide you with a fleece lined poncho that helps to keep you warm.
On the ride up the sleigh master enlightened us with interesting history about the area. The beautiful snow-covered cabin welcomes guests with a roaring fireplace and live music. Beano’s Cabin is known for its extraordinary food coupled with a robust wine list. The 5 course meal makes for a culinary adventure. Last night we started with a cup of truffle potato leek soup. Everyone grabbed the bread to wipe the bowl clean! The second course was the Beanos “house” salad. This included organic mixed greens, locally made goat cheese, and candied walnuts. The next course was a tough one as there were about 6 incredible choices. I went with the beef tenderloin carpaccio and enjoyed a bite of the pheasant crepe, both were delectable. For the main course there was also a great variety of choices. The favorites at our table included the ginger bread crusted lamb and the miso black cod. Skip the elk chop, it was a little chewy. Last but not least the dessert, my personal favorite part of any meal. I had the chocolate molten cake which was divine. They also had an assortment of homemade sorbet and ice creams that were a great way to cap off the meal.
I would highly recommend Beanos for it’s one of a kind experience whether with family or a romantic dinner, you won’t be disappointed. East West Resorts has an exceptional concierge staff that can help make dinner reservations. Contact our concierge. Also there are a variety of other dinning options Click here for more information on Beaver Creek dining options.

When Mother Nature Gives You Snow, Offer Tubing and Kids Snowmobiling at Vail’s Adventure Ridge
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
When Mother Nature Gives You Snow, Offer Tubing and Kids Snowmobiling at Vail’s Adventure Ridge
• Snow tubing and kids snowmobiling offered this Friday through Sunday
• Dining at Talon’s Deck as well as climbing wall, bungee trampoline and Dino Dig also available this weekend
Vail, Colo. – June 1, 2011 – In an effort to remain flexible and provide the best early-summer on-mountain experience for its guests, Vail Mountain announced today that with ample snow still remaining at higher elevations, it will reopen two lanes of tubing as well as the Adventure Speedway kids snowmobile track at Adventure Ridge this weekend, Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5. The return of snow tubing and kids snowmobiling will coincide with the previously scheduled opening of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) on Friday, including limited dining at Eagle’s Nest and Adventure Ridge activities as part of traditional early-summer operations.
“If you can’t beat her, join her! Mother Nature provided Vail with one of the best ski and snowboard seasons in history and stuck around throughout the spring with a series of storms and cold temperatures,” said Chris Jarnot, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain. “The snow is melting quickly, but we still have enough at Eagle’s Nest to offer tubing and kids snowmobiling, at least through this weekend.”
The Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Tubing and kids snowmobiling will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Also available will be the climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and ever-popular Dino Dig as well as dining at Talon’s Deck, offering a range of lunch items from BBQ and burgers to salads and regular specials. Hours and operations of on-snow attractions this weekend and beyond are weather dependent as crews continue preparations for traditional summer activities including the new nine-hole miniature golf course in Lionshead, the new Top of the Mountain Tours, horseback tours, pony rides, disc golf and more.
