Beanos Cabin, A Unique Dining Experience

December 29, 2011 Leave a comment

Beaver Creek has an array of dinning options ranging from 5 stars to more casual family -friendly options.  Beanos Cabin is one restaurant that provides a unique dining experience that is enjoyed by all ages.  The dining experience commences with a modern-day, open air sleigh ride.  The sleigh, pulled by a snow cat makes for a fun ride up for the kids.  Since you are out in the open be sure to dress warm, hats and gloves are recommended.  They do provide you with a fleece lined poncho that helps to keep you warm.Beaver Creek, Beanos Cabin Dining

On the ride up the sleigh master enlightened us with interesting history about the area. The beautiful snow-covered cabin welcomes guests with a roaring fireplace and live music.  Beano’s Cabin is known for its extraordinary food coupled with a robust wine list.  The 5 course meal makes for a culinary adventure.  Last night we started with a cup of truffle potato leek soup.  Everyone grabbed the bread to wipe the bowl clean!  The second course was the Beanos “house” salad.  This included organic mixed greens, locally made goat cheese, and candied walnuts.  The next course was a tough one as there were about 6 incredible choices.  I went with the beef tenderloin carpaccio and enjoyed a bite of the pheasant crepe, both were delectable.  For the main course there was also a great variety of choices.   The favorites at our table included the ginger bread crusted lamb and the miso black cod.  Skip the elk chop, it was a little chewy.  Last but not least the dessert, my personal favorite part of any meal.  I had the chocolate molten cake which was divine.  They also had an assortment of homemade sorbet and ice creams that were a great way to cap off the meal.

I would highly recommend Beanos for it’s one of a kind experience whether with family or a romantic dinner, you won’t be disappointed.  East West Resorts has an exceptional concierge staff that can help make dinner reservations. Contact our concierge.  Also there are a variety of other dinning options  Click here for more information on Beaver Creek dining options.

Whether you need to recuperate from a hard day of skiing, rejuvenate after a stressful work week, or indulge in a relaxing getaway with a spouse or friend, we have the spa for you. In no particular order, we list the most luxurious spas in the state for everything from a quick, in-town pick-me-up to a true spa vacation.

Allegria Spa, Beaver Creek
You visit the 30,000-square-foot Allegria Spa at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort for one reason: Aqua Sanitas, a self-guided water ritual that comes with any treatment booked at the spa. Begin with a cleansing shower and the ever-popular Allegria ginger-peach product line. Then dip into the 102-degree thermae pool, submerge your body in the 104-degree caldarium mineral pool, rinse in the cascata rain shower, visit the caldarium steam room, and then relax in the lavender-infused tepidarium. “New this season to our spa menu is the Javanese Lulur, a bridal treatment modeled after the 40-day Javanese Princess ritual before a wedding — however, we get it done in one day instead of 40,” says Gaye Steinke, general manager of Allegria Spa. “We also have begun to incorporate an acupuncturist into our high-altitude adjustment therapies.” Despite new technology and products, the 75-minute deluxe facial with oxygen boost is still the most popular facial booked at the spa.
